Level Up, LLC Job PostingLevel Up, LLC, a subsidiary of AVIAN, is seeking a professional to maintain and improve the Sponsor's Linux software and hardware environment. This role involves operating system software integration with hardware and applications software, and server maintenance.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:Plan, test, install, integrate, and maintain new and upgraded versions of relevant operating systemsBuild and harden Linux servers, and establish configuration baselinesApply security and firmware patches, and assist in patch management plansDevelop test plans and proceduresReplace server hardware components where necessaryTest and integrate software and hardwareManage operating system lifecyclesEstablish, develop, test, stage, and operate environmentsDesign interfaces to external systemsResearch and resolve operating system problems efficientlyTroubleshoot operating system problems and collaborate with other teamsProvide technical support to other teams on operating system integration requirementsMaintain and update documentation on operating system configurationQualificationsRequired Experience, Skills, & Technologies:Minimum of 10 years configuring and maintaining Linux serversBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline, OR 10 years of related technical experience may substitute for educationStrong Linux administration experienceExperience working in an organization with complex systems and data flowsExperience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex IT documentationExperience with domain account management via Centrify, LDAP, and Active DirectoryExperience applying security patches in a Linux environmentStrong shell scripting experienceAbility to manage a large, complex server environmentExperience with server environment, hardware components, and their usageUnderstanding how to troubleshoot and replace server hardware if necessaryStrong communication and collaboration skills to work across dispersed teamsDesired Experience, Skills & Technologies:Scripting experience with Ansible or similar technologiesPhysical RequirementsOccasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Add/remove hardware from in-rack applicationsUse hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machineryClearance RequiredU.S. Citizenship required due to sensitivity of customer-related requirementsTS/SCI with Full Scope Poly requiredLevel Up, LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, financial security, and overall well-being benefits.
