Associate Attorney: Toxic Torts (Hybrid)

Job DescriptionJob Posting: Toxic Tort AttorneyLocation: Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA or Irvine, CAJob Type: Full-TimePractice Area:Toxic Torts/Asbestos/SilicaToxic Tort Attorney Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation, with strong litigation and/or pre-litigation skills. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.***Training in toxic tort matters will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to expand their expertise.Key Responsibilities:Provide expert legal counsel on toxic tort related matters.Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums.Advise clients on risk management and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner.Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence.Develop strategies to prevent legal issues and minimize exposure for clients through proactive counsel.Stay up to date with changes in general liability to provide clients with current and effective legal advice.Qualifications:2+ years of experience in civil litigation.Proven ability to handle a full caseload in collaboration with attorneys and partners.Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.Experience in defending clients against employment-related claims, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment.Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.J.D. from an accredited law school preferred.Licensed in CA in good standing.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package.Professional development and continuing education opportunities.Supportive, collaborative work environment.Bonus opportunitiesFlexible workstyle- 2 days on-siteHow to Apply: Apply on-line, or send your resume in confidence to jaimi.harper@gogpac.com .
