Why Join Us | DuPont CareersOverviewLead new growth for Vespel® across powersports (ATV, UTV, motorcycle, marine, snowmobile) and industrial equipment (construction, ag, off‑highway machinery).This is a highly hunt‑driven role focused on:Early-stage application developmentSpecification influencePipeline creation with OEMs & Tier suppliersYou’ll partner with Sales, TS&D, and Marketing to turn customer performance challenges into scalable, profitable solutions.Location: Midwest (Remote / Field-Based)Travel: ~50% U.S.Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth & StrategyIdentify and develop new applications and platform winsBuild a strong, scalable pipeline across product platforms and model yearsDrive long-term growth through specification capture Application DevelopmentTranslate customer needs (wear, friction, heat, durability, weight) into Vespel® solutionsTarget key components:Bushings, bearings, thrust washersSeals & wear componentsElectrical/thermal insulationDrivetrain & motion-control partsTrack pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce (SFDC)Customer EngagementBuild relationships with OEM engineers, sourcing, and program leadersEngage early in design and validation to influence material selectionPosition Vespel® around performance, reliability, and total cost of ownershipShare market insights (platforms, trends, electrification, competitors)Channel CollaborationPartner with DuPont reps, distributors, and machining partnersDrive joint customer engagement and opportunity progressionSupport design reviews and application workshopsCross-Functional ExecutionAlign with commercial and segment teams on strategyPartner with TS&D for technical validationSupport Marketing on value propositions and “hunt plays”Provide pipeline visibility and strategic updatesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering (or related)7+ years in business development, technical sales, or commercial rolesExperience in application-led, specification-driven sellingStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to operate independently in a team-selling environmentCRM experience (Salesforce preferred)PreferredExperience with powersports or industrial OEMs / Tier suppliersKnowledge of high-performance polymers or precision componentsBackground in tribology, motion systems, or lightweight materialsFamiliarity with platform selling & product cyclesWhy This Role MattersDrive long-term, defensible growth by embedding Vespel® into high-performance platforms where reliability, durability, and uptime are critical.Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!DuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
