Learn more about CCC at www.cccis.com.The RoleWe are looking for a Platform Engineering Intern to support our Platform Services organization, which includes cloud operations, networking, and core infrastructure services. This internship is designed for someone with a development background who wants hands-on exposure to how modern platforms are built, operated, and automated across hybrid and cloud environments.The intern will work closely with senior engineers and leadership on real operational and engineering initiatives (not shadow work) and will gain experience across infrastructure, automation, and application-facing systems.Key Responsibilities:What You'll Work OnAssist with cloud platform operations (primarily AWS/Azure), including resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost visibilityBuild and maintain internal tools, scripts, and utilities using Python or TypeScript to support platform workflowsContribute to automation efforts using tools like Terraform, and write supporting code in Python or TypeScript to extend infrastructure capabilitiesHelp maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure-as-code repositoriesSupport networking and connectivity initiatives (VPC/VNet design, routing concepts, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing)Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot platform issues across cloud, network, and application layers, using logs, metrics, and custom debugging scriptsDevelop or improve lightweight APIs, CLIs, or dashboards that give the team better visibility into platform healthParticipate in documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks to support platform reliabilityGain exposure to security, identity, and governance controls within enterprise environmentsWhat You'll GainReal-world experience writing code that supports enterprise-scale platformsMentorship from senior cloud, network, and platform engineersPractical development skills applied to infrastructure and automation challengesExposure to how platform decisions support business outcomesA strong foundation for roles in cloud engineering, SRE, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure developmentRequirements:What We're Looking ForCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldProficiency in Python or TypeScript — you should be comfortable writing, debugging, and testing code in at least one of these languagesFoundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and how applications run on infrastructureFamiliarity with web technologies (REST APIs, basic frontend/backend concepts, HTTP)Experience with or willingness to learn version control using GitCuriosity about how systems work end-to-end — from user request to infrastructure responseStrong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn in a production environmentAbility to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team membersNice To Have (Not Required)Exposure to AWS or Azure servicesExperience with Terraform, Docker, or KubernetesBasic understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)Familiarity with building or consuming REST APIsExperience with Node.js or common Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI)Personal projects, labs, or GitHub repositories demonstrating hands-on learningAbout CCC's Commitment to Employees:CCC Intelligent Solutions understands that our employees play an integral role in our vision to shape a world where life just works.
