Senior Business Analyst (Securities Post Trading System)

We are looking for an experienced expert who will design from scratch and support the implementation of a modern, scalable securities record-keeping system. The project involves supporting thousands of financial instruments and millions of transactions per day, full automation of multi-currency accounting (double-entry bookkeeping), and migration from legacy script-based solutions.Responsibilities:1. Accounting framework design: Develop the structure of accounts, sub-accounts, and accounting schemes (debit/credit) reflecting the life cycle of securities transactions.2. Post-trade process modeling: Model the complete transaction processing lifecycle for equities and ETFs within the system, with particular focus on:T+1/T+2 settlement (Cash Flow / Settlement),reconciliation of client asset balances (individual investment accounts vs. pooled/omnibus accounts).3. Collaboration on technology migration: Coordinate efforts to establish a new process for feeding accounting systems with data.4. Analysis of regulatory risks and exceptions: Address issues specific to financial markets, including:fractional share transactions,settlement discrepancies,Corporate Actions,multi-entity settlement structures.5. Strategic advisory: Support business stakeholders in making architectural and regulatory decisions.Requirements:1. Professional experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business-System Analyst, Systems Designer, or Product Owner within:capital markets,investment banking,brokerage firms.2. Deep knowledge of financial and operational accounting: Practical understanding of:double-entry bookkeeping principles,general ledger operations,financial subledgers.3. Securities trading domain expertise (Equities and ETFs): Strong understanding of:Trade Life Cycle,settlement mechanisms (T+0 vs. T+2),omnibus account structures,clearing and custody processes.4. Technical competenciesAbility to work with relational databases and cloud data platforms (Snowflake experience is a strong advantage).Experience mapping data from event-driven structures (e.g., transaction system logs) into accounting entries.Proven experience designing systems from scratch, with documented success in building accounting engines or transaction record-keeping systems.5. Analytical and soft skillsStrong process and abstract thinking: Ability to design entity hierarchies enabling the system to generate metrics by product and business line.Ability to map legal and tax risks: Understanding how changes in technical logic (e.g., changing sales ledger postings from "return of principal/profit" to "sales revenue") impact tax operations and reporting (e.g., PIT calculations).6. Business / IT / Compliance communication: Ability to communicate effectively with:software developers,accountants,auditors,international branches.7. Confidence in architectural decision-making: Ability to distinguish between critical MVP requirements and features that may delay project delivery.8.
