Cloud Data Engineer

Overview In this role you will build and maintain the Azure data platform powering analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise integration for client missions. You’ll own key parts of the data platform, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply solid engineering patterns to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions. You’ll work with modern Azure services and CI/CD practices to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality. This is a hands-on opportunity to impact real-world programs that matter to people. ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement Azure-based data pipelines and transformationsDevelop and maintain analytics-ready datasets across the Azure platformOptimize SQL and data transformations for production workloadsOwn designated areas of the platform (pipelines, datasets, transformations, or integrations) with a focus on quality and performanceContribute to CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and operational readiness for data pipelinesCollaborate with data engineers, analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutionsStay updated on Azure data services and adopt new tools when appropriatePromote sound engineering patterns to enable teammates to succeed on Azure Key requirements4+ years of hands-on experience building data pipelines and data platformsExperience with cloud-based data solutions in Azure or similar environmentsHands-on exposure to data lakes, data marts, data warehouses, data pipelines, and ELT/ETL patternsStrong coding ability with modern data engineering tools and frameworksSolid SQL skills for transformation and optimizationClear communication and cross-functional collaborationBachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experienceLocated in or around Indianapolis, INClear communicationCollaborationProblem-solvingAzure data servicesData pipelines and orchestrationSQL optimization
