Data Engineer

Job Title: Data Engineer – ETL (Must be USC/GC on W2)Location: Carmel, IN (Hybrid)Employment Type: [Full-Time/Contract]Position Summary:We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable data pipelines, data models, transformations, and curated datasets that support reporting, analytics, integrations, and business decision-making.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, Python, data modeling, and data integration. You will work closely with Data Analysts, BI teams, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, scalable, and reliable.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3–7 years of experience in data engineering, database development, BI engineering, integrations, or software development.Strong hands-on SQL development skills, including complex queries, data transformations, stored procedures, and performance tuning.Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT data pipelines.Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for data transformation, automation, validation, or integration.Understanding of relational data modeling, dimensional modeling, data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse concepts.Experience troubleshooting data pipeline failures, data quality issues, integration problems, and performance bottlenecks.Understanding of data validation, testing, monitoring, security, access control, metadata, and technical documentation.
