Welder - Second Shift

Description:2nd Shift - 2:00PM - 10:30PMLocation: Clarence, New York Compensation: $20.50 - $23 (DOE)Job Summary:Works from a job traveler to fabricate and weld components to produce quality compliant products, while meeting departmental performance standards, customer specifications and delivery requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Using MIG and/or TIG, weld components together according to blueprints and job travelerCheck and verify part numbers prior to assembly of product to customer specificationsAccurately measure and lay out locations for welded componentsAdjust weld as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steelNon-essential Duties:Operate grinder, drill, band saw, torch and crane as assignedComplete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc. including accurately completing daily labor card and submitting at conclusion of shiftFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.Maintain departmental housekeeping standardsAssist in training new employees in safe and efficient use of fabricating and welding methodsNotify supervisor of part shortages before the part runs outRequirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Reads and accurately interprets blueprints at an advanced levelAble to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet schedulesSkill level includes MIG, TIG and pipe welding capabilities as outlined in attached level breakdownMust work at a reasonable pace (measured by production efficiency) and within quality standards to insure timely completionAble to follow directions and perform repetitive tasksAbility to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.Experience and Education:High School Diploma2-4 years previous welding experience with non-structural componentsMust successfully complete in-house welding testCompensation details: 20.5-23 Hourly WagePIadf49d96de29-26289-40890598
