Monday to Friday, either in Round rock or Hopkinton Join us as a Senior Software Engineer on our ISG Software Engineering team to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you’ll achieveAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing sophisticated systems and software solutions aligned with our ISG Product Development customers’ business goals and needs. Your work will focus on creating tools and platforms that enable streamlined infrastructure management, robust security, and standardized automation. These solutions will enhance the overall developer experience, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate delivery across engineering teams.RESPONSIBILITIES Contributes to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software/storage environmentsPrepares written software/storage specifications for complex products from architectural diagrams and documentsDevelops and reviews design, functional, technical, and/or user documentation, as neededDevelops, reviews, analyzes, and implements test strategies for software products and systems/for storage products and systemsDevelops, tests, and integrates code for new or existing software of significant complexityProvides sustaining or maintenance support to the existing software/storage environment, either by implementation or by guiding less senior engineersDesigns and implements source code revision control methods for productsPrepares accurate project status documentation for leadershipMeasures and analyzes quality metrics.Defines and implements actions for departmental or cross-functional process improvementsContributes to resource, schedule, and cost sizing for software development projects of medium complexityYou will:Contribute to the design and architecture of new or modernized software environmentsPrepare written software specifications based on architectural diagrams, design discussions, and technical requirementsBuild and review design, functional, technical, and user documentationDevelop full stack features and services using modern front end and back end technologiesImplement highly reliable, scalable, and secure APIs and microservicesCollaborate with cross functional teams to ensure high quality delivery, including code reviews, design reviews, testing, and continuous integrationEssential Requirements5-8 years of professional Full Stack Software Development experience, with deep expertise in both front end and back end engineeringStrong proficiency with Java or another enterprise server side language (e.g. Go, C#, etc.), including building microservices-based architecturesFamiliarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern UI framework such as React, Angular, or VueStrong Experience with RESTful API development, JSON, and XMLExperience building scalable, event-driven, or asynchronous architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent)Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, modern DevOps practices, and cloud-native developmentAbility to design and implement complex software components with high quality, test coverage, and maintainabilityDesirable RequirementsExperience with ServiceNow development, including scripting, integrations, and platform configurationExposure to IPAM solutions or network services automationUnderstanding of Spec-Driven Development and Agile/SCRUM methodologiesExperience with GitOps and Kubernetes (Helm, Kustomize, or similar tooling)Exposure to Agentic AI / GenAI (Windsurf & Devin) for workflow automation or intelligent developer tooling
