We integrate into our clients' workflows to help manage construction job files efficiently so they can focus on selling, building, and billing.Construction Estimator – Insurance RestorationIn Office – Indianapolis, INBalance Claims is seeking a Construction Estimator to support the development of accurate and complete project scopes within the insurance restoration process.This role is responsible for reviewing project documentation, building detailed Xactimate estimates, and preparing clear summaries to support both clients and internal teams. The quality and accuracy of the estimate directly impacts downstream file performance and overall project outcomes.You will work on a variety of project types including residential and commercial properties, covering both interior and exterior scopes related to storm, water, fire, and other insurance-related losses.What You'll Be Responsible ForReview client-provided documentation (photos, measurements, carrier reports, etc.) to understand project scopeCreate detailed and accurate Xactimate estimates with a focus on completeness and consistency, including existing components and items required by building codes and manufacturer installation requirementsPrepare clear written summaries outlining the estimate scope for both the client and internal teamsComplete estimate revisions as needed based on updated information or feedbackWhat Success Looks LikeHigh level of accuracy and completeness in initial estimatesClear, well-structured estimates and summaries that require minimal clarificationConsistent turnaround of files across varying volume levelsAbility to maintain consistent output and quality in a high-volume environment, including managing a significant number of estimates per day during peak seasonsAbility to interpret documentation and translate it into a complete and supportable estimateQualificationsExperience in insurance restoration, construction estimating, or related fieldXactimate experience preferred (not required for strong candidates)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail when reviewing documentation and building estimatesStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple files and priorities simultaneouslyStrong written communication skillsPowered by JazzHR
