Mechanical Aerospace Engineer

We specialize in providing technical recruitment and staffing services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other technical disciplines.In support of our client, a leading defense and aerospace engineering company, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for their facility in Huntsville. This is a long-term consulting assignment with the possibility of extension or direct hire.This position focuses heavily on simulation-driven design and structural analysis, supporting programs involving aircraft modifications/upgrades as well as ground vehicle and shelter systems.What you’ll be doing:Perform structural and mechanical analysis using ANSYS (FEA/FEM)Support design development through simulation-driven approaches (vibration, thermal, load paths)Build and validate 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred) aligned with analysis resultsContribute to design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and present technical findingsDevelop engineering documentation including analysis reports and airworthiness supportCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams on complex aerospace systemsWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s in Engineering7–9+ years of relevant experience in aerospace/mechanical engineeringStrong experience with ANSYS or similar FEA toolsBackground in aircraft system upgrades and stress analysisExperience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and/or composite materials is a plusThis role offers the opportunity to work on impactful aerospace and defense programs while leveraging advanced simulation tools in a collaborative engineering environment.ResourceTek offers a comprehensive compensation package.
