Our 24,100 employees at 1,300 operating locations provide our customers with top-quality, innovative products and services.Position OverviewThe Mill Technician is responsible for all aspects of the Annville grinding mill operation and overall daily functions of the lab and maintenance.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for own personal safety at all timesOperation of bobcat to assist in various clean-up effortsWorking rotating shifts and overtime as needed to cover operationsMust be able to climb, sweep, and shovel, and hand stack palletsMust be able to be trained in bagging and milling departmentsMaintain and grease associated equipment in each departmentHelp to plan, develop and adhere to a workable milling scheduleHelp to limit inefficiencies within the milling operationVerify the quality of products producedVerify adequate spare parts and consumables for proper milling efficiencyWorkplace inspections to be completed and properly documentedResponsible for quality control of products and taking samples as requiredFollow safe work procedures including, Lock-out/Tag-out proceduresBe trained to understand and perform, as needed, all quality control sampling and testing procedures and all maintenance proceduresCapable of operating plant automation and reporting as well as learning Microsoft Office computer software and production reporting softwareMaintaining clean assigned working areaMaintain environmental standardsAble and willing to work safely at heightsAble and willing to work safely in confined spacesOther duties as assignedEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent. Be knowledgeable of materials and equipment needed to perform tasks. Previous milling experience preferred.RequirementsMust submit to a drug screen and criminal background check. Must be team-oriented and have a positive attitude. Capable of operating Mobile equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steer, etc. Required to be trained on MSHA and environmental requirements. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees and management.
