As a family-run practice, we prioritize personalized care, teamwork, and a supportive work environment.Job DescriptionAs a Kennel Technician/Receptionist, you will play an essential role in maintaining the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our patients while also supporting our front desk team. This hybrid position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care as well as client interaction.Primary ResponsibilitiesAnimal Care & Kennel DutiesProviding compassionate handling and care for dogs, cats, and avian/exotic patientsCleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and hospital areasWalking dogs and monitoring animals during their stayFeeding, watering, and observing patients for changes in behavior or healthAssisting with laundry, facility cleanliness, and general upkeepReception & Client ServiceGreeting clients and assisting with check-in/check-outAnswering phones and scheduling appointmentsProcessing payments and maintaining accurate billingManaging patient records and ensuring accurate documentationSupporting the team with daily administrative tasksRequirementsExperience in a veterinary clinic, kennel, shelter, or animal care setting preferredPrior customer service experience strongly preferredComfort and confidence handling animals of all sizes and temperamentsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skills; knowledge of AviMark is a plusAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periodsScheduleDay shiftSunday to Saturday4, 8, or 10-hour shifts depending on availabilityNo nightsSalaryFlexible based on experience.Equal Opportunity EmployerLivingston Animal and Avian Hospital is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
