Electronic Security Systems Project Manager

Electronic Security Systems Project ManagerProvide professional project planning, installation, integration, maintenance and repair of electronic security systems and additional types of electronic systems components. Works as an essential member of the UL certified Alarm Service Company (ASC); coordinates functions, tasks and planning factors across the ARL:UT organization, to include UT Pickle Research Campus staff, commercial vendors, and various government agencies and sponsors, as required.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, diagram, layout, coordinate construction support and install, test and maintain electronic security systems and related equipment, software and other applications.
Systems Administrator for unclassified and classified security system hardware and software applications.
Diagnose problems, implement fixes and coordinate broader solutions with key stakeholders.
Provides training/support to security personnel in the operation, maintenance, upgrade and repair or replacement of the systems and equipment. Develop and maintain documentation of schematics, designs, reports, and CSA certifications for UL alarm systems, as well as access control systems, video surveillance equipment and video management systems.
Train ARL users on the proper use and function of these systems and train/support alarm service technicians on troubleshooting and perform repair or replacement issues.
Plan layout, coordinate construction support and install, test and maintain equipment.
Supports shared responsibility for 24x7 availability for response to repair alarm system failures and malfunctions to UL, DCSA, ARL and sponsor standards.
Install, maintain and repair new and existing video monitoring cameras.
Troubleshoot to resolution a range of issues with surveillance cameras and video management system.
Configure and operate Digital Video Recorder (DVR) to record video and create/recover/archive video records and events.
Support GSA Certified technicians for the ARL:UT Key and Lock Control Program, performs maintenance, key creation, destruction and documentation on high security mechanical and electronic locks.
Supervise and support design and installation of upgrades and extensions to security and building systems.
Maintain, update manage access control, badging and visitor records and archive.
Assist in the installation and maintenance of security-related systems and devices that may include vehicle gate operations, traffic sensing loop controllers, intercom systems, electronic locks for secure doors, high security locksets, etc.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelors degree in related field.
Five years of project management experience.
GSA Lockmaster Certification, Kaba Mas X10 Installation and Operation Certification and LSI LKM 10K Certification, or ability to achieve within 12 months of hire (dependent upon course availability).
Seven years of related physical security experience.
Knowledge of, and experience with, industry-leading alarm equipment, CCTV systems and video management systems and equipment, access control systems, and excellent computer skills in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prioritize duties.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

This position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving, sound engineering judgment, and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision, and effectively communicate with all groups of clients. Applicant must be able to work under pressure and accept supervision with regular and punctual attendance.
US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position. Employment will be contingent on selected applicant submitting application for access and receiving notification of eligibility within a time period to be specified in the job offer. If eligibility is confirmed within the specified period, employment must begin within 30 days of confirmation of eligibility. Eligibility for access to classified information must continue without interruption during employment.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in related field.
Seven years of related experience.
At least three years of experience in industrial security.
At least five years of Journey-level experience in the installation, repair, maintenance, and operation of building electronic security systems to include equipment, systems, and low voltage components and physical security-related experience.
Advanced technical and integrations knowledge with alarm equipment, CCTV equipment, locks and access control systems and equipment. Journey level Locksmith experience.
Electronic Security Systems knowledge and experience with: Access N Site, DMP, Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Everbridge, Verint, Axis, Hanwha Vision, Pelco, Bosch, HID, FarPoint and exacqVision VMS.
Computer Programming Language experience: Python, Visual Basic, HTML, CSS, Java, C, C++. Contract oversight experience with systems integrators including Genetech, Convergint, Johnson Controls, Securitas, Prosegur, or other similar type companies.
Database Management experience: SQL, SSIS, SSMS.
Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification.
ASIS Physical Security Professional Certification, or the ability to earn it within 24 months.
CDSE Exterior Security Lighting Course completion.
Salary Range$100,000-$140,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
