Mier Recruitment is hiring!Job Title: FabricatorLocation: Fairdale, KYJob Type: PermanentSalary: $23.00-$24.00/hourWork Model: In OfficeThis posting is for an existing vacancy.Our client in Fairdale, KY USA is actively looking for a Fabricator to join their team.Position Description:Position: Fab Shop – Metal FabricatorJob Summary:The Metal Fabricator is responsible for interpreting drawings and developing logical sequences for operations such as cutting, burning, sawing, shearing, punching, rolling, bending, and straightening steel. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and knowledge of workplace safety regulations. The Fabricator may also perform duties at customer job sites as needed.Key Responsibilities:Interpret drawings, sketches, manuals, or verbal instructions to plan and execute metal fabrication tasks.Layout, mark, cut, burn, shear, punch, roll, bend, and straighten steel components.Operate lathes, milling machines, brake presses, shears, ironworkers, metal cutting saws, grinders, and other fabrication tools.Perform related duties as assigned, including work at customer job sites.Work independently or as part of a team to meet production goals.Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.Stand or sit for extended periods as required.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Required Skills and Qualifications:4–7 years of experience in a machine shop or metal fabrication environment, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and demonstrated accomplishments.Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and coordination.Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and developing operational sequences.Familiarity with lathes, milling machines, brake presses, shears, drills, saws, grinders, and other metal fabrication tools.Basic understanding of computers.Good interpersonal, teamwork, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Self-motivated and capable of working independently.Ability to follow safety procedures and work safely.Health and Safety Responsibilities:Comply with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.Use all required PPE and equipment.Report any hazards, risks, or unsafe practices immediately to a supervisor.Never disable protective devices without providing safe alternatives; restore devices after work.Operate machinery and equipment safely to prevent harm.Attend and apply knowledge from mandatory Health and Safety training programs (e.g., WHMIS, orientation).Special Consideration:Experience in the manufacturing industry.Hands-on experience with metal fabrication machinery, including brake presses, lathes, drills, saws, and grinders.Education:Minimum Grade 12 education.If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
