Job Title Senior Transportation Project Manager Overview CDM Smith has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead our growing Transportation West Group, developing business development strategy for major transportation projects in Texas and deploying complex transportation road, highway, and transit projects. The role includes managing multi-disciplined project teams, establishing scope and budget, marketing and business development, and leading project delivery. Responsibilities Lead marketing and business development efforts and expand our clients and opportunities with Texas region transportation agencies. Serve as the lead Project Manager on major road, highway, and transit design transportation projects. Build teams to match project needs, selecting internal team members and establishing teaming partnerships with industry firms. Mentor current staff to enhance our transportation services capabilities. Develop scope, schedule, and budget for transportation design projects. Monitor and control projects to ensure financial performance. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to the firm's quality procedures. Provide quality analysis/control of key deliverables related to projects managed or assisted on. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of related experience; PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire). Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil, transportation, or structural engineering. 10 years of professional transportation engineering experience. Professional engineering (PE) license. Experience managing roadway, highway, and other transportation engineering projects for state, county, and municipal clients (including TxDOT). Experience assisting with the proposal process and presenting to state, county, and municipal transportation clients, including TxDOT. Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills.
