Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkLocation: Lake City, FLFLSA Status: Non-exemptPrepared By: Corporate Human ResourcesSummary: Performs multiple tasks within the accounting department by performing the following duties.ResponsibilitiesValidates and enters all invoices for paymentMaintain Accounts Payable filesComplete and/or review new vendor set up paperwork for completeness and submit to Corporate A/PCollaborate with "Corporate A/P to maintain vendors including address changes, EFT payment setup, etc.Assist with vendor and divisional A/P inquiriesReview vendor statements for outstanding itemsPrepare accounts payable reconciliation reportsPrepare analysis of accounts as requiredAssists in monthly closingsAssist with inventory when neededAssist the division with expense reports and reconciliationsAdministrative tasks (filing, pick up and take mail to post office, scheduling trash container pickup, etc.)Special projects as neededBanking - scan incoming payments, check wires daily and maintain check logQualificationsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to multitask and have the ability to consistently follow best practices when managing accountsAbility to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner is requiredMust be detail oriented and perform with a high degree of accuracyMust be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to be proactive and display initiativeAbility to work as a team, and ability to work with all levels of managementProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and WordWorking knowledge of UKG or ADP is preferred, any payroll experience is a plusWorking knowledge of Navision ERP or other ERP systems is a plusSense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is also a requirementEducation And/or ExperienceAssociate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceChampion Home Builders is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
