Expanded Learning Coach (After School)

The kid who thinks nobody notices them? You're about to notice them. Every afternoon in Manteca, hundreds of students walk out of their last class and into the part of the day that shapes how they feel about school. Whether that time builds them up depends almost entirely on the adult standing there waiting for them. That adult is you. Assist Programs is hiring *Expanded Learning Coaches* to support after school programs across Manteca Unified School District. You'll spend four hours a day running games, activities and projects with elementary and middle school students, and you'll be the reason a lot of them keep showing up. We are *An Educator's Best First Job®*. If you're heading toward a career working with kids, this is where you find out what you're made of, with real training and real support behind you. What you'll actually do * Lead high-energy games, sports, STEM activities, arts and hands-on projects * Build genuine relationships with students, the kind where they look for you when they walk in * Keep every student safe, included and engaged * Celebrate the quiet wins: the student who finally joined in, the one who chose kindness, the one who tried again * Deliver the school district's program plans alongside campus staff * Track attendance and keep your site running smoothly The impact is the job You'll watch a shy student volunteer to go first. You'll see a kid who struggles all day discover they're the best problem-solver in the room. You'll be the consistent, positive adult that some of these students are counting on more than they'll ever say out loud. Our sites have seen behavior incidents drop sharply and students build real confidence, and that happens because of coaches who show up with energy every single day. If you've been responsible for kids, we want to hear about it. * *High energy.* You bring the fun. We train you. Pay and growth * *$20.00 per hour to start* * *Raise to $20.50 per hour at 90 days* for coaches who maintain 95% or better attendance * Paid training before your first day on campus * Ongoing coaching, weekly site support and advancement paths into lead and site coordinator roles * $ 5 monthly cell stipend Why coaches stay with us You get a full orientation, program-specific training and site-specific preparation before you ever walk onto a campus.
