Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistA reputable organization in the Greensboro area is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will support accurate, timely payroll processing and is ideal for someone who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly or biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Review and validate timecards, pay rates, deductions, and garnishments Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies Respond to employee payroll-related questions Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations Support year-end payroll tasks as needed (W-2s, audits, tax reporting) Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams Qualifications3+ years of hands-on payroll experience Strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paychex, or similar Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting Ability to handle confidential information professionally Pay Details: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour Search managed by: Samantha Garman Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
