This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment and enjoys leading cross-functional initiatives while delivering measurable cost savings and supply chain stability.Responsibilities:• Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials and packaging across North America • Manage large, complex spend portfolios with significant strategic impact (>$90MM annually) • Lead procurement cost-saving initiatives aligned with financial goals and business plans • Oversee RFP processes, supplier sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiations • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, focusing on performance, innovation, and reliability • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership modeling • Monitor supply risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies • Develop and execute category strategies for key raw materials and supply segments • Lead supplier qualification, evaluation, and development initiatives • Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery of materials and services • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and global procurement teams • Analyze chemical industry trends and support strategic decision-making • Implement procurement reporting structures, KPIs, and performance metrics • Utilize procurement technologies such as SAP, Ariba, and e-sourcing tools • Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems • Lead and develop procurement teams (Director level will have broader leadership scope) • Partner with executive leadership to align procurement strategy with organizational goals (Director level) • Travel domestically and internationally as neededRequired Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in science, business, economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred) • 10+ years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry • 5–7+ years in a strategic procurement leadership role • Proven experience managing large, complex spend portfolios with strategic implications • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement tools (Ariba a plus) • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • U.S. work experience requiredPreferred Certifications:• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) • CIPS (MCIPS preferred for senior-level candidates) • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional – APICS) • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher; Black Belt preferred for Director level)Benefits:• Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • 401(k) with matchingPay Range:Procurement Manager: $150,000 – $170,000 Procurement Director: $190,000 – $210,000
