Assures proactive response to local, state and national initiatives and supports the development of a highly reliable care delivery system. Manages the projects framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams. Plans, coordinates and monitors scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff and deliverables. Works with medical staff, department chairs, and medical center leadership in developing and implementing delivery system reforms.Generic ScopeExperience implementing aspects of national quality measure initiatives and protocols (through provider groups, payers, state/federal institutions), such as HEDIS, Medicare Stars, PQRS, Meaningful Use, State Medicaid programs, MACRA. Experience with quality improvement principles, practices, and tools into system design. Experience working in an academic institution or large integrated health system. Team based approach to develop and coordinate project timelines, establishes milestones, and prepares presentations and special statistical or informational reports for use by internal and external stakeholders. Incumbent will also manage and perform system analysis on Epic Application in efforts to implement specialized, complex regulatory and quality interoperable solutions across program requirements. Responsibilities include: Providing leadership, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating Epic applications and related third-party information systems for the organization; Participating in planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support organizational and strategic priorities Developing, evaluating, and determining ongoing support for all components of assigned projects. Incumbent will manage multiple projects simultaneously of various sizes in a cross matrixed environment. The project manager will be available to answer any support/project questions, assist in troubleshooting, give guidance on projects and general next steps, as well as provide detailed status to project stakeholders This role works closely with operational and clinical stakeholders, application managers, analysts and others to lead and coordinate all project activities, data and communication that arise during the project life cycle. Incumbent will be knowledgeable about the procedures, workflows, and business operations within Health and Affiliate practices. The project manager has knowledge of Epic Applications and how they relate to supporting regulatory and quality programs. The position works closely with operational teams and serves as a bridge between leadership, end users, affiliate physician network, vendors, and IT support teams. The position will support UCSF Health priorities, goals and strategic plan. This role involves complex regulatory and quality programs, such as MIPS, and demands strong project management skills and superior customer service interactions with a wide range of constituents. The project manager will partner with Health leadership, faculty, physician affiliate groups and staff to develop and implement regulatory and quality based workflows within the Epic application, analytic reports and dashboards and assist with system solutions. The candidate needs to be a collaborative partner to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community physicians.
