The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large-scale cooling systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, and rack systemsDiagnose faults and perform repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systemsMonitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and temperature controlPerform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespanHandle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulationsRead and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprintsMaintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentationRespond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptlyCollaborate with team members to ensure timely project completionRequirements:Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or in a similar roleTechnical certification or diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and componentsAbility to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficientlyFamiliarity with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulationsStrong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems and large-scale installationsCertification in refrigerant handling (EPA or equivalent/local certification)Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skillsExperience with energy management systems and controlsPowered by JazzHR
