We seek a responsible and dedicated individual looking to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing company. The EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator will be assuring the highest quality level of the company processes and maintaining the safety program for company employees, protecting environment, monitoring disposal of waste, and ensuring proper performance as per company procedures.Job Responsibilities:Assisting in determining the safety strategy in the company to ensure the health of employees and the protection of environment.Ensure safety procedures are followed in the company.Support all departments in the identification of potential risks (occupational and environmental).Define methods and practices to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Provide training to company employees in safety, health, and environmental topics.Work closely with Production, Laboratory, and any other department in the company to promote better work practices that improve employees’ safety.Provide direction for the proper disposal of manufacturing and laboratory waste.Coordinate emergency evacuation plan and other safety requirement according to internal procedures.Attend training scheduled in every new or revised SOP related to the department’s function.Assure accomplishment of training program.Attend cGMP courses and seminars scheduled by the company or by an outside contractor.Provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction eliminating any kind of complain from internal and external customer.Generate and implement improvements related to area functions.Participate in the execution of internal audits on the areas / departments / facilities requested by management.Participate in interdepartmental meetings looking for improvements and better methods to perform company procedures and activities.Comply with any other function requested by management.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Public Health or related field required.Minimum three years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry handling environmental, safety, occupational, and health situations related to facility and personnel.Proven leadership skills.Excellent written and communication skills.Work Hours:40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work within the department hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
