Assistant Care Coordinator

This position provides direct care assistance in our beautiful Payson senior living community. Clean and friendly environment. Must have Certified Nursing Assistant License or be willing to go to school to get it. In this position you must be willing/available to work all shifts. Job Duties: In addition to being responsible for all the duties on the CNA/Caregiver Job Description and the Med Tech Additional Job Description. The Assistant Care Coordinator is also in charge of assisting with training of the care staff (CNAs and MedTechs) and works hand-in-hand with RCC and the Nurse, along with the Executive Director in ensuring all care staff are completing their job duties. Additionally, the Assistant Care Coordinator reports all significant changes to be accounted for in updating and ensures timely delivery of medications, and keeping the med carts clean and organized. Train medication aides Provide on-the-job training and supervision of direct care staff Communicate with the Administration regarding any issues, concerns or questions Participate in in-service training for all staff Maintain good working relationships with residents, resident family members, all staff, and the community at large Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to Update lists for staff contacts Manage updates for the white boards Update shopping lists for memory care : Must be 18 years of age or older Must be licensed in the State of Utah as an CNA Must have prior work experience in caring for the elderly Must have current CPR and First Aid certification; food handlers permit; recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire. Ability to read and write English and communication effectively with residents, family members and staff. Ability to read, understand facility policies and comply with them while on job.
