You will produce and create metal goods.Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401(k)Life InsurancePTOCompensation: $30+ hourly DOEResponsibilities: Fit stainless steel and steel products (heavy and light gage) to specifications and drawingsAdhere to the blueprints to fulfill the product specificationsDetermine material dimensions to confirm requirementsInspect and examine parts to ensure they meet the quality standards and expectationsEnsure that equipment and tools are used and kept in good working order, for longevity of tool life and safety purposesThis position is safety sensitiveQualifications: Prior experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or a related fieldExperience in Fitting weldments, round, square, light, and heavy materials with prints, sketches, and drawingsExperience with Hydraulic metal Shears, Plate Rollers, Hydraulic metal Brakes, Manual Metal Brakes, Proficient with angle grinders (electric and pneumatic)Structural Fitting experience is a plusStrong capabilities in interpreting engineering blueprints and drawingsExperience with fabrication and hand toolsExcellent understanding of various types of metal and their respective propertiesCapacity to manage physical demandsOSHA 10 will be required within 30 days of employmentFamiliarity with Safety regulations and readiness to utilize personal protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face shields, gloves, and steel-toed bootsExperience with painting is a plus, and willingness to back up this position for vacations and sick daysAbout CompanySMSI is dedicated to providing the highest quality mechanical services performed in an honest, dependable, and efficient manner.
