Opportunity: RN - ICUJob Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM • Every other weekend schedule required with typically 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) per month • May require up to 2 extra mandatory shifts per 6-week period • First to float to PCU and Med Surg as needed based on census • Maintain 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios depending on acuity • Care for 10-bed ICU with average daily census of 5+ patients • Treat patients with open heart conditions, CHF, COPD, overdoses, sepsis, CVAs with TPA, DKA, and neurological conditions • Handle adults and patients under 8 years of age in ICU setting • Work with IABP, Impella, and CRRT equipment • Manage Day 2/Day 3 post-operative CABG patients • Utilize EPIC charting system • Dress code requires navy blue, black, or charcoal grey scrubs • Must be punctual and clock out for lunch - termination likely after 3 call-outs • Work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year • Minimum 2 years ICU experience including cardiac experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS • Nebraska or compact nursing license required • EPIC experience required • Pediatric experience highly preferredFacility: This Level 3 trauma center operates a 10-bed intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services to the community. The facility features advanced cardiac capabilities including post-operative open heart care and specialized equipment such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
