Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

We're looking for a finance professional who thinks like a technologist. This is not a back-office reporting role — it's a high-impact, AI-forward position at the center of how Stellar Senior Living makes strategic financial decisions. You'll build the models, automate the workflows, and design the dashboards that drive our growing portfolio.What you'll do:Financial Planning, Forecasting & ModelingLead annual budgets and rolling forecasts across the full community portfolioBuild driver-based financial models integrating labor, census, and operational KPIsDesign scenario and sensitivity models using advanced Excel, Power BI, and AI-enhanced toolsIntegrate Yardi and other system data into automated forecasting pipelinesUse SQL to improve forecasting accuracy and data integrityApply AI tools to accelerate model building, scenario simulations, and budget variance explanationsAdvanced Reporting & AnalyticsOwn monthly reporting packages with automated data flows and consistent accuracyDevelop standardized workflows using Excel, Power BI, and Spreadsheet ServerDesign executive dashboards with real-time KPI tracking and drill-through capabilityBuild visualizations covering occupancy, labor, margin, debt service, and cash flowPerform deep variance analysis linking financial results to operational driversServe as a technical liaison between Finance, Accounting, and OperationsAI, Automation & Workflow EngineeringDesign and implement AI-assisted workflows using Excel automation, Power Automate, SQL, and Power BILeverage Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools to accelerate analysis and automate commentaryAutomate recurring reporting processes and budget variance documentationBuild data validation controls and governance frameworks to ensure reporting integrityWhat we're looking for:Required - Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field3+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or data analyticsAdvanced Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, complex modeling)Strong grasp of financial statements and accrual accountingAbility to connect financial outcomes to business driversStrongly preferred -Power BI dashboard developmentSQL (data extraction & transformation)Yardi or similar ERP systemsPower Automate or workflow automationAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for analyticsExperience with OLAP or data warehouse environmentsYou'll thrive here if you…·        Think in systems, not spreadsheets·        Are curious about AI and automation·        Sweat the details without losing the big picture·        Translate data into decisions·        Collaborate across Finance, Ops, and Leadership·        Move fast in a growth environmentWhat we offer: ·        Compensation - $70,000–$80,000 DOE·        Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), unlimited PTO·        Growth - Internal promotions + tuition reimbursement·        Development - Company-sponsored training programsAbout Stellar Senior LivingStellar Senior Living is a premier provider of assisted living and memory care communities across the Western United States.
