With a unique blend of cultural insight and professional expertise, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that fosters success for both employers and candidates.Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Medical Malpractice Paralegal with a strong background in defense-side litigation.The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience supporting attorneys in complex medical malpractice matters, from case inception through trial preparation. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring accuracy and compliance with all deadlines and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Assist attorneys with all phases of medical malpractice defense cases, including pre-litigation investigations, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.Draft, organize, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.Manage case files, medical records, and evidence to ensure completeness and accuracy.Coordinate with clients, healthcare providers, expert witnesses, and court personnel.Maintain and update case management databases and calendars for deadlines and hearings.Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or reports for attorney review.Support trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and courtroom logistics.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 + years of paralegal experience, preferably in defense-side medical malpractice.Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and Florida rules of civil procedure (if applicable).Proficiency with case management software, e-filing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Paralegal certification preferred (FRP, NALA, or equivalent).
