Controls and Instrumentation Systems Engineering SpecialistDirect Hire/PermLOCATION - Spring/Conroe, TX area, Onsite in an industrial setting/Manufacturing facility ( May be occasional travel, NOT a remote/WFH role)Located near Conroe/Spring, TX, an Oil and Gas/Energy industry leader, is currently seeking a Industrial Controls and Instrmentation/Engineering Specialist to support automation, process reliability, and technology integration across multiple production areas. This position plays a key role in ensuring that automated equipment, control platforms, and information systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and implement control systems for automated production and packaging equipmentDevelop software for PLCs, HMIs, and related automation platformsConduct testing, validation, and commissioning of new or upgraded systemsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in existing control architecturesMaintain accurate technical documentation, including system specs and operating proceduresEnsure compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, and industry regulationsProvide training and guidance to plant personnel on system operation and best practicesPerform routine system updates, patches, and maintenance activitiesCoordinate with equipment suppliers and technology vendors on hardware and software needsSupport capital projects and planned outages with required control system modificationsIdentify opportunities to improve process performance and implement innovative automation solutionsCollaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with plant operationsDevelop and apply safety instrumented system (SIS) strategies to reduce operational riskEducation, Skills and Qualifications, other Requirements:BS degree required; preferred fields include Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing plant environmentWe are ideally seeking/looking for those that bring previous experience with Packaging Automation software/programmable logic controllers or PLCs, with experience programming for industrial machinery, water treatment applications, Heavy industrial systems, etc.Previous Energy Industry/Oil and Gas products industry experience is desired.Proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell ControlLogix, Modicon, or similar)Experience with DCS systems/process control software is a plusKnowledge of HMI development and configurationAbility to interpret PFDs and P and ID diagramsFor consideration, please apply here, and email me at russ.holland@cybercoders.com for consideration and let's connect/discuss the match/fit.
