Air Exercise Planner

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site contractor support position for an Exercise Planner / Air Planner located in the Fayetteville, North Carolina Metropolitan Area. The selected candidate will provide operational planning and exercise support to government personnel responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing joint air operations, training events, operational exercises, and contingency planning activities.The contractor will support mission planning efforts associated with Tactical Air C2, CJADC2 integration, distributed operations, and multi-domain mission synchronization. Responsibilities include assisting with exercise development, operational coordination, planning documentation, airspace integration, mission rehearsal support, and synchronization of operational objectives across participating units and mission partners.This position supports planning and coordination activities spanning air, ground, maritime, cyber, and space-enabled capabilities while assisting government personnel in developing realistic operational scenarios, training objectives, and mission execution frameworks aligned to evolving operational requirements.Roles and Responsibilities·       Provide contractor planning support to government personnel conducting operational planning, exercise coordination, and air mission integration activities.·       Assist in development and coordination of joint training exercises, mission rehearsals, operational scenarios, and contingency planning events.·       Support planning activities associated with Tactical Air C2, CJADC2 integration, and multi-domain operational synchronization.·       Assist with development of operational products including planning briefs, CONOPS, mission schedules, exercise timelines, operational checklists, and coordination documentation.·       Support coordination between aviation units, ISR platforms, intelligence personnel, operational planners, and mission stakeholders.·       Assist with airspace coordination, deconfliction planning, and synchronization of operational activities supporting exercise execution.·       Support development and refinement of operational objectives, training injects, tactical scenarios, and mission execution frameworks.·       Assist government personnel in monitoring exercise execution and identifying operational impacts, risks, or required planning adjustments.·       Support operational coordination within degraded, denied, intermittent, or contested communications environments.·       Maintain planning documentation, operational reports, meeting notes, and after-action support materials.·       Assist with execution support related to Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), SPINS, and associated operational directives.·       Support development and refinement of TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) associated with Tactical Air C2, operational planning, and CJADC2-enabled mission execution.·       Coordinate and communicate effectively with joint operational teams, mission partners, and government leadership supporting exercise synchronization and operational readiness.Qualifications·       Active TS/SCI eligibility or clearance required.·       Experience supporting operational planning, air planning, exercise coordination, or mission planning activities within joint or military operational environments.·       Familiarity with Tactical Air Control, Air Operations Center (AOC) processes, Tactical Air C2, or multi-domain operational planning.·       Knowledge of CJADC2 concepts, tactical air operations, and distributed mission operations.·       Experience supporting military exercises, operational rehearsals, contingency planning, or large-scale training events is highly desirable.·       Familiarity with Air Tasking Orders (ATO), SPINS, airspace coordination measures, and operational planning processes.·       Ability to analyze operational information and provide actionable planning recommendations to supported government personnel.·       Strong verbal and written communication skills supporting coordination across joint operational teams and mission partners.·       Experience supporting operations within Joint Operations Centers, Air Operations Centers (AOC), CRC, AWACS, or equivalent operational environments is preferred.·       Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure operational environments with shifting priorities and timelines.·       Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent military operational experience preferred.Company DescriptionVelozity Technology Services (VTS) is a dynamic and innovative organization committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions supporting national security, defense operations, and mission-critical environments.
