The ideal candidate will assist physicians and nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical historyAssist physicians and nurses during pre-operative and post-operative careMaintain sterile and safe clinical environments in accordance with infection control guidelinesPrepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipmentPerform basic clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collectionMonitor patients pre- and post-procedure and report any changes to clinical staffEnsure accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systemsSchedule patient appointments and coordinate surgical proceduresVerify patient information, consent forms, and insurance detailsMaintain inventory of medical and surgical suppliesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferredMinimum 3yrs to 5yrs of experience in a surgery center or outpatient surgical settingCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (through the American Heart Association)Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient care protocolsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPrecision Scans will provide equal consideration for employment to all qualified applicants without regard to their race, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, domestic partner status, or medical condition.
