Technical Business Analyst

A top NYC hedge fund with a 45 year track record is modernizing it's workflow throughout the firm. They are seeking a consultant for at least 6 months to help them throughout middle and back office.-Please no third party recruiters-Must be able to work independently and directly with JK Partners (we are direct with this hedge fund)-Must have current and deep hedge fund or asset management background including a deep understanding of middle and back office user functions and responsibilities-Must have extremely high EQ and strong relationship management skills. -Must be willing to interview onsite and provide references upon request.AI Technical Business Analyst / AI Consultant (Contract)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced AI Technical Business Analyst / Consultant to support enterprise-wide AI and automation initiatives. This individual will act as a hands-on partner to business teams, identifying opportunities, designing solutions, and directly implementing AI-driven and workflow automation use cases.This is not a pure advisory or training role—the ideal candidate is a builder who can translate business needs into practical, working solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner directly with business users across middle and back-office functions to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for optimizationAct as a hybrid Business Analyst + Technologist, gathering requirements while also contributing to solution design and implementationIdentify where AI is appropriate vs. where traditional automation or workflow tools are more effectiveDesign and build solutions using a mix of:AI tools (e.g., LLMs, OpenAI-based solutions)Data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python)Workflow automation platforms (e.g., Zapier or similar)Translate business problems into technical solutions and deploy them in real-world environmentsWork closely with line managers and operational teams to ensure adoption and usabilityIterate quickly—test, refine, and improve solutions in partnership with end usersIdeal Candidate ProfileMid-to-senior level consultant or technologist with a strong generalist backgroundProven experience delivering AI transformation, intelligent automation, or digital transformation initiativesHands-on technical capability (not just documentation or strategy)Strong business analysis skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholdersHigh emotional intelligence (EQ) and strong listening skillsComfortable working directly with users and embedding within teamsTechnical ExperienceExperience working with AI/LLM tools and applying them to real business problemsProficiency with data tools such as SQL and/or PythonExperience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, or similar)Ability to quickly prototype and implement solutions
