Optician/Optical Sales Associate

About Us We are a patient-focused private practice dedicated to exceptional eyewear styling, premium products, and friendly, professional service. We are growing and looking for a personable, motivated Optical Sales Associate to join our team. On-the-job Training will be provided! Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in selecting frames based on style, fit, and prescription requirements Educate patients on lens options including anti-reflective coatings, blue light protection, high-index, progressives, and transitions Accurately determine measurements, such as PD and segment height Maintain clean, visually appealing optical displays and merchandising Process orders, payments, insurance benefits, and lab communication Deliver exceptional service during frame styling, pick-ups, adjustments, and repairs Support practice operations including scheduling, reminders, and front desk tasks Qualifications Required: Strong customer service and retail communication skills Friendly, professional, and patient with all age groups Attention to detail Preferred (not required): Licensed Optician Optical experience (dispensing, lens education, PD measurement) Familiarity with vision insurance Experience in luxury retail, fashion styling, or medical office reception Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 21 per week Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
