This includes monitoring activities for the NYS Bureau of Child Health (BCH) and the Bureau of Perinatal, Reproductive and Sexual Health (BPRASH); all deliverables under the NYS Maternal Mortality Review Initiative; and contract oversight of Office-based surgery reviews. Duties to include but not limited to:Oversees administration of the Maternal Mortality Review Project, including:Training and supervision of review staffTriaging and assigning case reviewsMonthly reporting to DOHParticipation/presentation at Maternal Mortality Review Board meetings, as assignedAssists in the administration of clinical reviews operations by:Monitoring completion of quarterly deliverables, including schedulingMaintaining ISO standardsPerforming on-site/off-site training and evaluation of review staff as required.Interacting effectively with other IPRO departments to ensure integrity of the processes and products deliveredAttending departmental meetings and meetings with DOH as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Superior analytical and writing skills with the ability to summarize and present data from multiple sources both orally and in writing to interested parties with varying backgrounds.Ability to supervise, coordinate and manage departmental staff.Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of continuous quality improvement.Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deliverables.Proficiency in PC-based computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite products.Ability to travel, when necessary.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in New York State, required.Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related discipline, required. Master's degree, preferred.Three (3) years supervisory/managerial experience in utilization review and/or quality assurance, required.Clinical practice experience in a facility or community-based setting including medical, surgical, and/or obstetrical experience, required.Experience in an acute or ambulatory care healthcare facility reviewing charts for the purpose of quality improvement or utilization review, preferred.The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.The salary range and/or hourly rate listed does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
