Your primary responsibilities will be to drive compliance strategy and lead projects focused on privacy, energy regulation, and data governance initiatives. You will manage risk, monitor performance metrics, and analyze trends to deliver continuous improvement. In this role, you will ensure regulatory compliance through incident response, regulatory submissions, and data request management, while providing expert guidance via consultations, performance scorecard oversight, and reporting. You will advance compliance programs by performing gap analyses, developing risk mitigation strategies, and supporting legislative efforts. Additionally, you will collaborate with utility working groups, benchmark programs, implement compliance projects, establish data governance frameworks, and track performance to ensure accountability and sustained success.This critical work ensures compliance, data protection, and data governance—helping power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge and help us build the future?ResponsibilitiesDevelops business requirements, performs gap analysis, and identifies strategies for controls and risk mitigationFacilitates training and ensuring the effective remediation of potential non‐compliant situationsSupports legislative strategy and legislative language development to advance or defend company positionsConducts audit reviews to ensure that the company stays compliant with the policies and standards enforced by relevant agenciesIdentifies significant regulatory challenges and commercial opportunities, for the current and future regulatory environmentsAdvises and counsels on new consumer products and product structures and compliance with changing regulatory rules and varying political environmentOversees and implements the organization's compliance reporting activitiesLeads regulatory report submission for the companyProvides guidance to cross‐functional organizations on considering preventative measures on corrective action responsesA material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.Minimum QualificationsTen or more years of experience with regulatory filings/proceedings and compliance standards.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in business or a related field.Two or more years of project management experience; PMP certification or other relevant industry credentials preferred.Two or more years of experience with energy regulation, compliance, and privacy laws (e.g., TCPA, CAN‐SPAM, CCPA/CPRA).Proven expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Rapid Results, and root cause analysis.Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks and tools.Knowledge of SOX controls, compliance, and audit processes.Background in the energy or utility industry.Experience driving cultural change and influencing organizational behavior.Success managing in a cross‐functional, matrixed environment to achieve collaboration and alignment.Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio).Additional InformationThis position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
