Coding Instructor Internship

Job description Company Overview Coder Kids, a leader in the after school and summer camp industry is seeking fun and charismatic computer programming instructors as we continue to grow! Our students will rely on your knowledge and guidance while learning the basics of coding through games and animations. The ideal person for this job will have an outgoing personality, classroom management skills in-person and online, an eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, and a dedication to helping kids develop coding skills. Responsibilities include: Instructing students on how to use languages such as Scratch and Python, as well as early-coding activities for younger students Representing Coder Kids with a positive attitude to parents and students Maintaining order and structure in the classroom in-person and online Developing strong relationships with our school partners and communities Required Skills/Abilities: Fluent in technology and computers Ability to learn and teach new concepts in tech Fun, outgoing persona with kids Time management and communication skills Reliable means of transportation Preferred Education/Experience: College student majoring in a computer-related field Experience leading a group of children (8 or more) Teaching experience with students ages 5-18 To apply, please respond with: Cover letter or personal profile appreciated Compensation: $25 an hour starting with mileage reimbursement for lead instructors Our website is https://www.coderkids.com Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $25.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: On the road
