Microsoft Cloud Solutions Engineer:Logistics:Contract to hire (6-12 Months)On-site in Waltham (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Solutions Engineer to design, build, and evolve Azure-first cloud solutions and modern digital experiences across the enterprise. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focusing on scalable architecture, secure integrations, and best-in-class development practices within the Microsoft ecosystem.You will partner closely with architecture, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver well-governed, high-performing solutions while establishing standards for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and application lifecycle management.Key Responsibilities:Design and deliver scalable Azure cloud solutions, including application architecture, integrations, and performance optimizationEstablish and enhance Azure DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, automated testing, deployment governance)Develop modern user experiences using React and SharePoint Framework (SPFx) within Microsoft 365Implement end-to-end monitoring using Azure Application Insights (dashboards, alerts, telemetry, SLOs)Build and support AI-enabled solutions leveraging Azure AI Foundry and responsible AI practicesPartner with security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with data protection, identity, and governance standardsDefine and enforce engineering standards across code quality, environment management, access controls, and documentationAct as a technical mentor and advisor, guiding solution design and adoption of Azure and Microsoft 365 capabilitiesQualifications:7+ years of experience in Azure cloud development and modern web engineeringStrong experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflowsHands-on development experience with React and SPFxDeep understanding of Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, APIs, App Services, Key Vault, etc.)Experience with Azure Application Insights (KQL, monitoring, alerting)Knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID (RBAC, managed identities, access control)Exposure to Azure AI / AI-powered solutions is a plusAWS experience is a plusWhat You Bring:Ability to operate as both a hands-on engineer and technical leaderStrong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and business teamsExperience working in enterprise, highly regulated environmentsPassion for building scalable, secure, and well-governed cloud solutions
