Restaurant Manager

The Dinex Group, a growing restaurant group by Chef Daniel Boulud, is seeking a Restaurant Manager for Le Pavillon located in the heart of Midtown, across from Grand Central Terminal.The Restaurant Manager is responsible for consistently providing restaurant guests with friendly and professional service, ensuring consistent execution in an attractive, well-maintained environment, and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. This staff member will float during service time, observing and helping the service staff and opening/closing the restaurant as needed.They will assist the General Manager with staff training, pre-shift meetings, and general restaurant maintenance, among other tasks. The Restaurant Manager should have superior knowledge of French cuisine and wine.Responsibilities, but not limited to:Perform proper execution of opening and closing procedures, pre- and post-service dutiesAssists general manager with premeal meetingsMonitor service to guests in all areas of the restaurantEnsure team members' adherence to service standardsCommunicate with the kitchen to update them on service issues (i.e., pace of service, VIP tables)Review the reservation sheet and seating plan and react to any special requests or VIPsSustain guest relationsMenu updates and descriptionsInspect dining room before serviceMaintain supply pars including linen, china, glass, and silverware.Maintain the phone coverage standardsInventoriesCompetencies & Qualifications:Three years of service experience with at least two years in management, preferably in a fine dining or private club environmentAbility to lead, train, and inspireOrganizational skillsEffective time managementPresent with professional demeanorPositive and clear written and oral communication skillsAbility to engage guests successfully and build a relationshipPositions require:Full availability- daytime hours, evening hours, and weekendsReference checkThe Dinex Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
