Billing Specialist
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare client invoices in accordance with specific billing requirements, including formats, coding, narratives, and submission deadlines.Generate draft invoices for review, incorporate revisions, and finalize invoices in compliance with client guidelines.Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure adherence to billing standards.Research and address billing inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, resolving discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.Assist with the submission of electronic invoices through e-billing platforms.Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation within the firm’s accounting system.Provide support for special projects and additional accounting-related responsibilities as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or higher education preferred.Minimum of 3 years of relevant billing or accounting-related experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word and Excel, with strong data entry capabilities.Familiarity with Elite Enterprise, 3E, CMS, or similar accounting/e-billing software preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies efficiently.Self-directed, dependable, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work.Flexibility to work additional hours as business needs require.
