In minutes, you:Review the alarm, consult schematics, and isolate the fault with standard electronic test gear.Swap the defective component, verify signals, and bring the tool back within spec.Document the fix, update the SOP to prevent recurrence, and brief the team.That mix of urgency, craftsmanship, and knowledge-sharing is the core of this job.Core responsibilitiesInstall, commission, and service in-line optical manufacturing equipment.Execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to minimize downtime.Troubleshoot using diagrams, drawings, prints, specs, manuals, and both written and verbal instructions.Inspect and repair mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems.Create and refine SOPs and work instructions that elevate safety and reliability.Train, mentor, and provide direction to individuals and small teams.All duties are completed to defined standards and in full compliance with company policies, with dependable attendance, overtime readiness, and schedule flexibility.What you’ll bring1–2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (optical processing exposure is a plus).Foundational mechanical and electrical aptitude.Comfort with schematics; HVAC and/or welding experience preferred but not required.Basic math; computer literacy.Strong written and verbal communication; excellent organization; keen attention to detail.Work setting & physical demandsStanding and walking for most of the shift.Working with and around chemicals; some areas can be wet/dirty or have strong smells.Regularly lifting up to 30 lbs. to waist height.Flexibility for overtime in service of our customers.How we support youWe provide training and encourage adaptability—processes and technologies evolve, and so will you.
