Job Role: Sr. Java Developer with AngularLocation: NYC, NY (4 days onsite 1 day remote) - need locals onlyPay Rate: $80-$89/hr on w-2Contract: 6-12 months to perm (wants to convert)Interview process: 1 video interview then 1 face to face interview (has to face to face or candidate is out and will be 2-3 hours long)Must have: core java, spring boot, angular, github, cloud, sql and CI/CDRole OverviewHands-on individual contributor working on daily assignments and development tasksSupporting the build of a new enterprise-level internal communication system for the clientCore ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end development across Java backend and Angular frontendActive coding role with ownership of assigned features and componentsContribute to testing efforts and help maintain automation (Java-based testing)Work within an enterprise-scale application environmentRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong Core Java and Spring BootFrontend development with Angular (React experience is acceptable if willing to learn Angular)Experience with databases (Oracle or SQL required)Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelinesCI/CD experience preferred but not required (team support available)Ability to understand and work from technical documentation and architecture designsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team membersNice-to-Have SkillsExposure to cloud technologies (future state may include migration; e.g., Snowflake vs. Oracle)Experience working in the financial services industry (not required)Candidate ProfileExperience working on long-term projects (2–3+ years preferred per role)Strong ownership of work, with ability to clearly articulate:Responsibilities in Java developmentTechnical challenges encountered and solutions implementedImpact on business outcomes (performance improvements, efficiency gains, etc.)Preference for candidates from enterprise environments, though strong technical experience in smaller organizations is acceptable if comparable in scopeResume should highlight specific contributions and accomplishments, not just a list of technologies
