Floor Hand

SUMMARYThe Floorhand I is responsible for performing tasks associated with the operations of a well servicing rig. The Floor Hand I works under the direct supervision of the Rig Operator and Tool Pusher to carry out all assigned job duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstand RES concept of Stop Work AccountabilityAbility to learn RES safety policies and proceduresParticipate in Meet and Greet at location sitesParticipate in JSA/DWP and tailgate meetings as scheduledBasic understanding and ability to operate rig equipment - slips, tongs, and elevatorsBasic understanding of mud pump and fluid handling operationsUnderstand the role of a floor hand during loss of well control eventsPull and run rods and tubingUnderstand basic secondary lift mechanisms such as rod and electric submersible pumpsAssist in pipe tallying, rigging up and down, and nippling up and down BOP unitsResponsible for keeping worksite, equipment, and tools clean and in good working orderAssist in the day to day lubrication and minor adjustments of equipmentBasic ability to identify hazards and perform Behavior-Based Safety ObservationsUnderstand and assist in energy isolation proceduresAbility to learn new skills as directed by Rig Operator and mentorsResponsible to stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediatelyReport all incidents immediatelyOther duties as assignedREQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE6 months of experience working on a well servicing rig preferredMust be familiar with pump and tank operationsMust have a valid state-issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain oneAbility to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipmentCompetent communication skillsMust be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work a flexible scheduleCOMPUTERBasic knowledge of MS Office preferredPRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTSMust complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.ABOUT THE COMPANYRanger Energy Services is an oil & gas completion and production solutions company with a foundation built on well servicing, wireline, and natural gas processing.
