This role is ideal for a motivated leader who is passionate about supporting children, adults, and families while helping teams deliver high-quality, compliant, and mission-driven services.The Associate Director serves as a key link between day-to-day program operations and agency-wide systems by supervising staff, supporting program development, maintaining compliance standards, and fostering strong relationships with community partners.Position OverviewThe Associate Director works closely with Program Directors, administrative departments, and community stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and operational success across assigned programs.This position supervises clinical and program staff and helps guide program operations, quality improvement initiatives, staffing support, and client care coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational and administrative leadership for assigned programsSupervise and support clinical and program staff, including professional development and performance managementEnsure staff receive appropriate clinical supervision and trainingMaintain compliance with licensing, documentation, billing, and contractual requirementsSupport scheduling, productivity tracking, and client service coordinationCollaborate with counties, schools, referral sources, and community partnersParticipate in audits, quality assurance activities, and outcome monitoringAssist with onboarding, staff training, and ongoing skill developmentCollaborate with leadership on staffing, budgeting, and program planningPromote communication and collaboration across programs and departmentsProvide direct mental health services to children, adults, and families as neededUphold Fernbrook’s mission, vision, and values in all aspects of workQualificationsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health settingStrong leadership, supervision, and team-building skillsKnowledge of behavioral health documentation, billing, and compliance standardsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentValid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving recordAbility to pass DHS and agency-required background checksPreferred QualificationsExperience with program management and compliance oversightExperience collaborating with counties, schools, and community agenciesBilingual skills are a plusSchedule & Work EnvironmentFlexible schedule generally between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMTravel between Fernbrook locations and community sites may be requiredSalaried position averaging 40–43 hours per week, with flexibility based on agency needsPhysical RequirementsExtended periods of sitting, computer use, listening, and observationOccasional lifting of up to 15 poundsWhy Join Fernbrook?At Fernbrook Family Center, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace where employees can grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families.
