Application Engineer

Job Overview Applications Engineer who can help put together technical solutions and proposals for customers. This person will work closely with sales and engineering to understand what a customer needs, design a solution (like layouts and diagrams), and help price it out so it’s competitive. Responsibilities Required Skills & Experience Engineering degree (electrical or mechanical) At least 5+ years of experience Bonus if they’ve worked with medium voltage power (switchgear, transformers) Comfortable reading one-line diagrams and technical specs Familiar with basic industry standards (ANSI, IEEE, etc.) Some experience with tools like AutoCAD or Visio What they’ll actually do day to day: Review customer requirements, drawings, and specs Help design electrical solutions and basic layouts Build out pricing and cost estimates for proposals Work with vendors to get equipment quotes Support sales during client conversations and presentations Help transition projects from the proposal stage to execution Other details: Hybrid role in Wendell, NC (2–3 days onsite) Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision insurance Work from home Education: Bachelor's (Required) Location: Wendell, NC 27591 (Required) Ability to Commute: Wendell, NC 27591 (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Wendell, NC 27591
