Mid-level benefits are also available.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm, but can vary.Location: This position will be located in Sorrento Valley.DescriptionTES has a current opening for an administrative assistant within a veterinary hospital.Job DutiesProvide support for clinicians and students in a veterinary hospital by serving as the first point of contact.Provide medical records support.Schedule appointments and process medical records data for easy retrieval.Collect payments for services.Enter patient charges and collect payment from clients.Float between the front desk reception and client liaison desk as needed.QualificationsExperience working in a medical or animal environment.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of medical terminology.Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of information and materials.Reception experience.Clerical support experience.Experience with entry and retrieval of data from computerized databases.Experience organizing and prioritizing work effectively to achieve timely progress on multiple simultaneous projects, distribute effort appropriate among the projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a veterinary or medical clinic.Experience in cashiering and billing or ability to quickly learn.SPECIAL CONDITIONSA Background Check Is Required.This position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter pursuant to the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) and requires immediate reporting of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, or neglect of anyone under the age of 18.
