As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scansPrepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and record dosages accordinglyPerform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic filmPosition patients and adjust immobilization devicesCompassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concernsMonitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentationMay assist with transporting patients as needed Qualifications:Associate DegreeGraduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training programClear/active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Current Nuclear Medicine credential: NMTCB or ARRT (N)Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist requiredCurrent basic life support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hireAbility to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbsBenefitsHCA Florida Brandon Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
