Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify and target potential customers within the market to generate new business opportunities for tire protection chain sales.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the off-the-road tire protection market.
Establish rapport with existing clients to foster loyalty and identify upselling opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Presentation:
Possess in-depth knowledge of tire protection chains and effectively communicate product features, benefits, and competitive advantages to potential customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our tire protection chains.
Customized Solutions:
Analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions, addressing specific challenges related to tire protection in different industries.
Collaborate with technical experts to develop custom chain solutions that meet unique customer requirements.
Sales Negotiation and Closing:
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to move prospects through the sales cycle.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure profitable deals and achieve sales targets.
Close sales and obtain commitment from customers to drive revenue growth.
Sales Management:
Effectively manage and prioritize the Tire Protection Chain sales pipeline.
Ensure sales team updates and maintains accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system in a timely manner.
Customer Education and Support:
Educate customers on the benefits of tire protection chains and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align strategies and enhance overall customer experience.
Provide feedback from the field to contribute to product development and market positioning.
Assist other pewag segments by connecting potential opportunities with the appropriate segment manager.
Promotion of Service and Parts Business:
Promote and sell services of pewag, Inc. including tire protection chain installation, inspection, and repair.
Encourage customers to maintain a spare parts inventory by providing a cost-benefit analysis.
Achievement of Sales Targets:
Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, both in terms of revenue and unit sales, within the assigned territory.
Regularly report on sales performance and provide forecasts to the segment manager.
Continuous Learning:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in tire protection solutions.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Travel Requirements:
Be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients, visit job sites, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows.
Utilize air or train transportation when business trips are far enough to provide environmental benefits in fuel savings, or time savings.
Avoid unnecessary travel.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and contractual agreements.
Generate regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback for management review.
Maintain expense account within budget levels and fiscal responsibility while following the Business Ethics Policy.
Reporting and Expectations:
The Director of Sales – Tire Protection Chains reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is expected to devote full professional effort to the success of pewag Inc. This role requires a proactive, solutions-driven mindset and commitment to achieving growth objectives while maintaining strong customer partnerships.
