Maintenance Manager (Rockwall County)

*THIS IS NOT A JOB WITH CONSUMER CONNECTION*Location: Rockwall, TX (ONSITE)Industry: Food ManufacturingPosition OverviewOur client, a growing and highly automated food manufacturing company, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to help lead the launch and scale-up of a new production facility in Rockwall, TX. This is a unique opportunity to join the organization during a major growth phase, with small-scale SQF production beginning in August/September 2026 and full-scale production ramping quickly thereafter, including a large molding operation by year-end.The Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in building the maintenance function from the ground up — supporting equipment installation, establishing preventative maintenance programs, and developing a high-performing maintenance team. This individual must be both a strategic leader and a strong technical contributor who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all maintenance operations for a highly automated food manufacturing facilitySupport installation, startup, commissioning, and optimization of new production equipmentBuild and develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliabilityManage and mentor a small maintenance team of approximately 3–4 direct reports, with future team growth expectedTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systemsPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Food Safety teams during facility startup and expansionEnsure compliance with SQF, food safety, OSHA, and GMP standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and operational performanceAssist with spare parts management, vendor coordination, and maintenance budgetingHelp establish maintenance processes, KPIs, documentation, and best practices as the facility scalesQualifications5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within food manufacturing or a similarly regulated manufacturing environmentStrong technical expertise with automated manufacturing equipment and systemsExperience supporting facility startups, expansions, or greenfield operations strongly preferredHands-on troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsKnowledge of SQF, GMPs, food safety, and preventative maintenance programsProven ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to balance strategic planning with day-to-day floor support
