Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical Center in South Carolina is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist inpatient pediatrician to join the team. The provider will manage a range of inpatient responsibilities, primarily related to newborn care with some pediatric admissions. The role is critical to maintaining comprehensive care for pediatric patients in a hospital setting. Competitive compensation along with comprehensive benefits included. About position:8 hours in-house per day (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)24/7 coverage with 16 hours of on-call responsibilitiesAPRN and CRNA support is provided 90% of inpatient duties involve managing newborns, including nursery coverage10% of duties involve managing straightforward pediatric admissions No complex subspecialty care or PICU-level casesProviders will work in a Level 2 nursery and must attend deliveries as early as 32 weeks gestationHigh-risk deliveries or newborns needing advanced care will be transferred to nearby facilities HOSPITAL:What started as a small group of physicians in the late 1920s has grown into one of the county's largest employers today.
