Inspire Growth Every Day.Salary: $57,416 (entry level)Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to design and deliver individualized music instruction for students within the framework of Daily Life Therapy. This role blends music education, therapeutic practice, and collaboration to support student development in a dynamic, mission-driven school environment.As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students build confidence, self-expression, and independence through meaningful musical experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & InstructionDesign, develop, and implement individualized music curricula aligned with Daily Life Therapy principlesDeliver engaging music instruction as a core component of each student's educational programMaintain familiarity with the full school curriculum to support classroom coverage when neededAssessment, Reporting & CollaborationPrepare and present quarterly music progress reports to the Master TeacherDevelop educational documentation including assessments, IEP goals, and progress reportsParticipate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and administratorsAttend daily division meetings, teacher meetings, and in-service trainingsStudent Engagement & EnrichmentCoordinate student participation in Massachusetts Very Special Arts programs and other community activitiesCreate a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment that reflects student involvement and creativityActively participate in all student activities, including physical exercise and movement-based programmingProfessional Practice & School CommunityMaintain open, respectful, and confidential communication with parents and caregiversRespond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries in accordance with school proceduresContribute as a collaborative team member and support school-wide initiatives and eventsServe on the Event Committee to help plan and coordinate school activitiesSupport classroom teachers with Daily Life Therapy activities as needed throughout the dayAdhere to all school policies, student rights, and applicable regulationsAdditional DutiesOrder and manage music materials and supplies as neededContinue professional growth through ongoing study of Daily Life Therapy and current music education practicesPerform other duties as assigned by the Master Teacher, Division Directors, or Director of Programming QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Music Education or a related fieldStrong initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a multicultural, collaborative environmentPhysical ability to engage in an active school day, including standing, lifting, squatting, and jogging Why Join Us?Make a meaningful difference in students' lives through creative, therapeutic music educationBe part of a supportive, mission-driven team committed to student growth and inclusionEngage in ongoing professional development within an innovative educational model
